According to HIPAA Journal, a total of 29,227 patients in Texas had been compromised. This cost McAllen Surgical Specialty Center an estimated $2,944,165, according to eRiskHub.
It contained the following protected health information:
- First and last names
- Dates of service
- Health insurance information
- Social security numbers
- Medical record numbers
- Addresses
