Get to Know Nick Gerrans: Going Above and Beyond for Customers

Get to Know Nick Gerrans, Account Specialist: Going Above and Beyond for Customers

Congratulations to Nick Gerrans for securing the VGM Forbin Employee Spotlight for the month of July. As the Account Specialist for Managed IT, Nick spends his time doing anything he can to help a client’s business succeed. He has a passion for making a difference in people’s lives, and at VGM Forbin, he gets to do just that. Thank you for helping us create Forbin raving fans.

We interviewed our winner and this is what he had to say:

  1. How long have you been working at Forbin: Start date: 2/28/2022 – been working at VGM Forbin for 18 months

  1. What is your role at Forbin: Account Specialist – Managed IT; Account Executive – Web / Marketing

  1. What's your favorite thing about your job: My favorite part of my job are the people I get to work with daily…both fellow employee owners and customers.

  1. An interesting fact you may not know about me: I am a fairly good cook.  No specialty, but I have a solid understanding of general cooking principles. I am comfortable being uncomfortable in the kitchen and figuring things out.

  1. Cats or dogs: I don’t have either one, but I always grew up loving dogs and hating cats. However, one of my favorite things to do is watch my daughter’s cat, Maggie, when Jocelyn comes home for the holidays.

  1. Most importantly, hot or cold coffee? Cold. I make traditional hot coffee at home and put the pot in the fridge after it brews and cools a little bit.  I like it super-strong and bitter to start. And then I add sweetener. A lot of it. Close to a 1:1 ratio, I think.

  1. If you were stranded on an island, what would you take with you? Assuming I’m not a jerk and wouldn’t insist on taking my family with me to be stranded on the island together, I would have to say the one thing I would miss the most is my Taylor GS-mini acoustic guitar. I’m pretty sure that’s the one thing I would make sure to take. Clothes, drinkable water, soap?? No! Just my guitar. Lol.

  1. If you could have one season for the entire year, what would it be? Golf Season

Here Is What a Colleague Had to Say about Nick

Ana, shared that, “Nick genuinely really cares about his clients and meeting their needs. I appreciate his passion for his job and that he goes above and beyond to get answers for his clients and isn't afraid to ask us questions or for a recommendation to come up with the best solution. It is inspiring because it makes me want to work as hard as I can to ensure we deliver an exceptional experience to each and every person we work with!”

Congratulations, Nick!

A sincere thank you to Nick for all you do for Forbin! Stay tuned as we see who is selected for the August VGM Forbin Employee Spotlight of the Month.
