The VGM Forbin team is thrilled to honor Luke Vorwald as the Employee Spotlight for August 2023! In his role as a Systems Administrator I, Luke brings exceptional expertise and dedication to the table.  From configuring hardware and software to troubleshooting technical issues, he plays a pivotal role in helping maintain the company's IT infrastructure. 

As a Systems Administrator I, Luke is responsible for safeguarding data, implementing security protocols, and optimizing system performance. 

What sets him apart is not just his technical proficiency, but his unwavering dedication to his work. Regardless of the challenges he faces, Luke tackles them head-on with determination and a positive attitude. His commitment to excellence is evident in every task he undertakes.

We interviewed our winner, and this is what he had to say: 

1. How long have you been working at Forbin: Since July of 2022, so about a year and some change. 

2. What is your role at Forbin: System Administrator I 

3. What's your favorite thing about your job: The flexibility it offers, the constant opportunity to learn, but truly my top favorite thing is my coworkers. As cheesy as it sounds, they are all the best coworkers I’ve ever had.  

4. An interesting fact you may not know about me: I can wiggle my ears, both at the same time and independently of each other.  

5. Cats or dogs: Both (we have 2 cats and a German Shephard in our house) 

6. Most importantly, hot or cold coffee? Hot, black, and a lot of it.  

7. If you were stranded on an island, what would you take with you? If I could have some of the door-stop Stephen King books and my guitar I’d be fine for a while. 

8. If you could have one season for the entire year, what would it be? Always and forever will be Fall.
